tabatabaei
house
This house, which is one of the masterpieces of old architecture, was built by late Seyed Ja'far Tabataba'i, a famous carpet merchant of that time (1250 AH). The architect is Professor Ali Maryam Kashani, famous architect of the nineteenth century in Iran. Tabatabaei house located in the Sultan Amir Ahmad neighborhood in the historic neighborhood of Kashan. Next to it, you can visit other works.
Persian architecture including Stucco art, mirror, construction in accordance with the climatic conditions of the region, tile art, painting on the wall are all at this place. The vast old houses were generally owned by a wealthy owner, and the greatness of the building had the effect of making them, besides themselves; their children after the marriage could be accommodated in that home, in addition to being a place for business and ceremonies. When you enter the shahneshin room, you will be impressed by its beauty. From the top to the bottom of it, the peak of art and beauty is used in this room; all is beautiful. Stuccoing, painting, stitching and whatever you want from art in this high rise room. It is a place to host special guests or those who were invited to trade for business. One of the most interesting decorations of this section is the grid windows that are made of Stucco and are seen as delicate fabrics. The presence of luminaire and grill windows and double-glazed side windows that are open and closed vertically add to the beauty of this room and create the art of Iranian architecture. On the two sides of the chamber room there are rooms called Goushvare. Goushvare, instruments for converting square to octagon to run the dome. When the number of guests was low or not of great importance to the landlord they were used to accommodate guests.
The house has two distinct sections and is essentially two independent houses that are interlinked subtly. The larger part has a rectangular square courtyard with small squares in its quadrangle. The most important home space complex is located on the South Front. The height of this front is higher than other parts of the building, and the arched half-circle above the middle porch has the highest point in the overall skyline of the building. The small courtyards on the two sides of the eight-eighth block are enclosed by two-story buildings and have pillars in the form of an octagon in the middle.
In the construction of the Tabatabaei house, the garden pit and the intrinsic and veil design have been used and all its components are symmetrically made.
The house has three distinct, independent parts, but its architect is in an artistic way, all three linking each other. In general, there are 40 rooms, 4 yards, 4 cellars (basements) and 3 windmills at the Tabatabaei house. The water needed by the inhabitants is also provided by two rivers of Dhanabadi and Nasrabadi.
There are several courtyards in the Tabatabaei house that showcase their Iranian architecture with their features. Of the 4 courtyards, a central courtyard belongs to the outer area and two courtyards belonging to the Indoor and a courtyard belonging to the crew. In the courtyards, trees are planted from paradise fruits such as pomegranate and figs, which show the beliefs of the people of that time.
Another interesting point of this architectural masterpiece is that, due to the fact that on summer nights or in winter when the outside air cools cooler than the air inside the well, the air flow is cut off and the system stops working.
In the summertime, as the temperature of the suspended air in the tunnel does not reach to below ground level, the flow of cool air into the basement does not occur. The strength of this system is that it has been active for the past 175 years, when it was a habitat, when it was abandoned and ruined, and now that it was visited by enthusiasts, and continues to work like on the first day.
The main entrance of the house is located in the southeastern corner of the building and is a combination of several consecutive spaces connecting the courtyard to the courtyard.
